You can also add an emoji icon for only $4. Simply fill out the personalization form and return the funds to the main office by or before the deadline. If you have not purchased a yearbook yet, you can still buy one online. Please hurry time is running out!


Mr. Dingman wants to congratulate all 43 Vikings who participated in the National Geographic Bee School Level Semi-Final test last Thursday--all participants should be proud of their success in reaching the second level of the competition. And thanks to all history teachers who made it possible for every Viking to have an opportunity to participate in this great national contest promoting geographic knowledge.

The top-scoring students on the semi-final test will now move on to the school level championship finals, to be held in the MPR on Monday, January 28th during period 2, with all history classes invited to attend as an audience. Special congratulations to the following students who are now GeoBee School-level finalists:

Students who qualify to join the National Junior Honor Society should have received an Invitation in Homeroom this week. If you did not receive an invitation, but feel like you should have, please check the list posted in the main office window or see the National Junior Honor Society Advisor, Mrs. Suffolk in room B-28 today during homeroom. Information meetings will be held in Homeroom next week.  


If you are interested in participating in the Special Olympics on the volleyball or soccer team to assist our special education students please see Mrs. Peters in the office TODAY.

This week's spirit day is College Day. On Friday, make sure to dress up in your favorite college attire or colors to show some school spirit and earn spirit points for your homeroom


Speaking of spirit points, Leadership would like to announce the homerooms who earned the most spirit points for first semester.  The homeroom who earned the most points in eighth grade is Mrs. White's homeroom. In seventh grade, the winner is Mrs. Papadopoulos' homeroom. The sixth-grade homeroom who won the Spirit Points Competition is Mrs. Sullivan's homeroom. Mrs. Yant's class is the winner of the mixed homerooms. Lastly, there was a drawing of all the homerooms that had obtained 100 points or more. The winner of this bonus drawing is Mrs. Smith's homeroom. Congratulations to all the winners of this competition who continuously have shown their great Viking Pride.

The competition starts over this Friday, so be sure to remember to wear your college wear tomorrow!

Reminder tomorrow and every Thursday is Viking PRIDE Day - wear your spirit clothes or blue and white to show your school PRIDE.


Students who qualify to join the National Junior Honor Society will receive an invitation this week in your homeroom class. Students who qualify have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher with no N’s, U’s, or F’s in any class. Congratulations to all of you on your academic achievement!
